Octo Skip Nodes¶
Smart Node-view navigation for Toon Boom Harmony.
Octo Skip Nodes replaces Harmony's Select Parent / Child Skipping Effects with a smarter version: it skips effects and the curves inside deform groups, hopping only the meaningful rig hierarchy — Drawing → deform group → peg. Plus a second navigation that jumps only between nodes you flag.
Two navigations¶
- Skip — B / Shift+B — move one meaningful node up / down, skipping effects, composites, and the modules inside deform groups.
- Jump — Ctrl+Alt+B / Ctrl+Alt+Shift+B — hop only between the nodes you
flag with the jump symbol (
+), in a single jump.
Two markers¶
-(skip / hide) — a node whose name carries this symbol is hidden from navigation. Use it to hide the rig's wiring (driver pegs, helpers, math nodes) so the animator only ever lands on what matters.+(jump) — flags a node as a jump target.

Pairs with Octo Rig Composer¶
ORC builds the brain (widget-driven pegs); Skip Nodes hides the wiring. Make a peg
driven entirely by the MC widget, mark it with -, and the animator never trips
over it — they navigate a clean rig while the machine stays underneath.
