Video Tutorials¶
Short, focused walkthroughs — each under ten minutes. Videos are on the way; the curriculum below is the order we recommend watching them in, from first launch to the awkward cases.
1 · Install & Activate¶
Get OTS into Harmony, Blender, and Maya, and activate your licence (or start the 30-day trial).
2 · Your First Transfer — Harmony → Maya¶
Scan the pegs, export a .anm, and press Create Rig in Maya. Skeleton and animation in one click.
3 · .pvt vs .anm¶
What each file holds, why .anm is the everyday choice, and when the pivot file is the right tool.
4 · Reading the Match Tree¶
Matched, unmatched, amber rows, camera icons, and editing a target path by hand.
5 · Multi-Rig — the Rig Column¶
Splitting a scene into separate rigs, merging loose roots, and why a connected chain can't be split.
6 · Cameras¶
Exporting cameras with the shot, Create Cameras, the default-camera flag, and checking your framing.
7 · Blender ↔ Maya¶
The 3D-to-3D route, and what the Z-up / Y-up conversion does to your curves.
8 · Applying onto an Existing Rig¶
Matching by name, fixing the misses, and what re-importing does to a Harmony peg's authoring mode.
9 · Rebuilding a Lost Rig from .pvt¶
Build Skeleton, the Scale option, and pivot space.
10 · Exporting Half a Rig¶
Partial exports, why the pose still lands right, and how removing a row promotes its children.
11 · Coordinate Systems, Briefly¶
Z-up vs Y-up, metres vs centimetres, and the one rotation mistake OTS exists to avoid.
12 · When Something Looks Wrong¶
Reading the summary line, the usual suspects, and how to tell a bad transfer from a bad expectation.
